Update 9/1/26: The Saltsburg Elementary School will be in remote learning mode beginning Wednesday, September 2nd. The estimated return date is September 18, 2026. An exact return date will be communicated once remediation and follow-up testing are complete. Students who were picked up early on September 1, 2026, will not be marked absent. Students in K-2, or those who do not have access to technology and have not received their learning packets, may pick them up at the STEAM office on September 2, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
9/1/26: Due to air quality testing results the district received early this morning, Saltsburg Elementary School will be relocating today to the STEAM Academy with their teachers. If parents/guardians choose to pick up their child today, please enter the main STEAM Academy entrance after 8:45 a.m. Further details to follow.

As RVSD continues to monitor the SES classrooms, another step in the process is to conduct an air-quality test at Saltsburg Elementary School. A mold inspection and remediation company, Mold Pros, will test the areas after students are dismissed on 8/31/26. Once the results are available, the district will report them to the Saltsburg Elementary School community.
